FREQUENT QUESTIONS
What is the Women's Association of Concrete Professionals?

The Women's Association of Concrete Professionals is a nonprofit organization whose mission is the commitment to mentoring, training, supporting, positively impacting, and empowering women in the concrete industry, today and into the future.
The idea for the Women's Association of Concrete Professionals began in 2020, when our founder, Sarah Bryan, wasn't able to find the resources she needed while on a work related trip. In October of 2021, she started engaging with people and companies, asking them if they felt this might be a good endeavor. With a resounding "yes!", WACP became more than a thought, and officially formed with co-founder, Lee Ann Harris, in April of 2022.
As a 501(c)(6) nonprofit, we are designated to promote our member's interests without the goal of making a profit, and we are committed to promoting women in our industry in a positive light, providing resources that have previously been unavailable.

Why should I become a member of this organization?

-
Becoming a member of WACP means you're becoming a part of an organization that's committed to YOU!

-
We realized the need for proper representation and understanding of women in our trade --not just those out in the field or behind the desk, but every woman in the industry -- as many of our important contributions are often overlooked.

-
By becoming a member of WACP, you are gaining access to exclusive trainings, mentorship opportunities, and networking you may not have had access to before.
Why should I become a sponsor of WACP?

-
With your sponsorship donation, you're helping to set a path of opportunities for women in the concrete trade that they may not have had access to previously.

-
With the funds donated, we will provide webinars, both virtual and on-site training, potential employment opportunities, and partnerships that can benefit not only women in our field, but your company's presence as well.

Where do my donations go?

With your donations, WACP is able to provide free access for members and sponsors to trainings, webinars, operating costs for events, educational opportunities, and other program services that help WACP to run at maximum efficiency.

Donations will also fund scholarships for women looking to expand their knowledge, or first get into the field. They'll also finance an annual event where we choose one deserving business and donate our time and resources to help the progress toward their goals.
